A seal safari is a trip out on the water to look for seals. You are in the animals' own surroundings, on their terms — that is where they live, and that is where we go.
Grey seals are found in the Oxelösund archipelago. They are wild animals that roam freely and show themselves on their own terms — which is why it is called a safari. We head out and look, and the thrill lies in exactly that.
Much of the experience lies in the looking itself. You sit close to the water with your eyes on it, someone points and everyone turns the same way. The water glints, and now and then a rock becomes a seal's back before it turns back into a rock. Around you, skerries and bare slabs of rock lie low against the water, and further out the sea opens up.
The boat is built for being out in it: the fibreglass T-top gives shade and shelter from the weather, the tall screen in front of the wheel takes the wind, and a grab rail runs all the way round to hold on to while you look about.

An archipelago tour is about seeing the place. The Oxelösund archipelago changes character all the way out: further in, the sounds are narrower and the water calmer, and the further out you go the lower and barer the islands become, until there is nothing but rock, water and sky.
If you want an archipelago tour in Sörmland where you simply look around, say so. Do tell us as well whether you lean towards going further out or staying in more sheltered water, and we will take that with us when we suggest an arrangement.

On board there is room to sit up front on the U-shaped sofa, in the shade under the T-top, or aft on the sofa with headrests. If you want to talk, you can. If you would rather be quiet, that works just as well.

A boat is a good place to be a group. Up front you sit facing each other on the U-shaped sofa, aft there is a sofa with individual headrests, and who ends up where is mostly decided by who wants the most wind in their hair.

About the boat
You travel in a seven-metre aluminium RIB. The hull is a deep V with a hull angle of 26 degrees, and around it run tubes in Heavy Duty PVC with six separate air chambers and an overpressure valve. A rigid hull with tubes around it – that is what a RIB is.
Above the deck sits a fibreglass T-top that gives shade and shelter from the weather. At the wheel there is a tall, wind-deflecting screen and a grab rail all the way round to hold on to, plus bucket flip-up seats at the helm. Up front, a U-shaped sofa with a removable sun bed; aft, a sofa with individual headrests and a removable table. Right at the back, bathing platforms with a swim ladder.
The engine is a 200-horsepower V6 outboard. The steering is hydraulic, the bilge pump automatic, and the navigation lights sit on the targa arch. There is plenty of stowage up front, in the console and under the aft sofa.
