You decide the arrangement – we build the day around it

This is something we put together with you and give you a quote for. You tell us what the occasion is, what you want to do out on the water and what the day should end with. We come back with a suggestion for how it could look, and then you tell us what to change.

The setting is the Oxelösund archipelago: skerries rising out of the water, bare rock lying flat against the surface, open water in between. You travel in a seven-metre aluminium RIB. What the tour becomes depends on what you say you want out of it.

The floating sauna at Oxelösund Guest Harbour is the ending we put forward. If you would rather finish somewhere else, or let the day end out on the water, say so in your request and we will price that instead.

It is a corporate event in the archipelago, shaped around what you tell us you want.

What you can adapt

The tailoring lies in shaping the arrangement around you, starting from what you say you want. Three things are yours to decide, and the fourth is wide open.

What you do out on the water

Out into the archipelago, out to an island, or just out. If you want to go further out or stay closer in, say so. If you want to lie still and just look, say that too — with the boat lying still, what you mostly hear is water and wind. It is your request that decides what the tour is about.

In what order

What comes first and what comes last is up to you. Should the boat be at the start of the day or at the end? Should something else sit in between? The order is part of the quote – describe how you picture it and we will write the suggestion accordingly.

What it ends with

The floating sauna at Oxelösund Guest Harbour is the ending we can build in. It is moored in the harbour, is booked as a whole raft and takes up to seven people. If you want a different ending, or none at all, that is just as easy to say.

Or something entirely your own

If you have an idea of your own, that is the one we most want to hear. Write it plainly in your request — once we know what you are after, we can tell you whether and how it can be arranged.

Here are a few common ways to answer the question “what do you want to do out on the water?”. Borrow what fits, or say something else entirely.

Out into the archipelago

An archipelago tour is mostly about looking around. Skerries, bare rock and open water in between, salt in the air and light lying broad across the surface. You sit on the U-shaped sofa up front or on the aft sofa, the fibreglass T-top gives shade, and the tall screen at the console is built to keep the wind off. A grab rail runs all the way round.

Out to an island

If you have an island or a direction in mind, write it in your request and we will come back with a suggestion for how the tour could be built around it. A direction is enough — describe what you are after and we will take it from there. The archipelago off Oxelösund is many things at once: skerries that barely break the surface, slabs of rock lying smooth against the water, and open sea in between.

Just a boat ride

Sometimes the point is simply getting out. Water against the hull, the horizon shifting, and conversation sounding different out at sea. Going out is reason enough in itself.

Something you have in mind yourselves

The ideas above are examples. If you want something else, just say so – the point of quoting is that we can answer your actual question.

One of the ideas is to head out and look for seals. Grey seals are found in the Oxelösund archipelago, but they are wild animals and nobody can promise that they will show up. Kickoff activity, conference activity or client event – the occasion shapes the arrangement

Kickoff, conference activity, staff activity, client event and team day are five different things, even though they often end up in the same sentence. Different purpose, different expectations, often a different person holding the pen. Write in your request which one you are after – that tells us most about what the suggestion should contain. Oxelösund sits on the Sörmland coast, a little over an hour from Stockholm.

Kickoff

A kickoff is meant to set the tone for something that lies ahead of the group. Held in the archipelago rather than in a room, it starts with something you did together instead of an agenda on a screen. Conference activity

If the conference is already booked, the activity is often what is left to solve. A conference activity in Oxelösund can be the thing that breaks up a room with a projector – you go from the chairs out onto the water and back again. Where it sits in your programme is up to you. Staff activity

A staff activity can have as its whole purpose that the staff get to do something together. Write how many you are and what you want to do out on the water, and we will come back with a suggestion. If you want it to end in the floating sauna, we will include that in the same quote.

Client event

A client event is a chance to meet clients somewhere other than a meeting room or a trade fair. The archipelago speaks for itself – it is somewhere to go out into. If it should end in the floating sauna at the guest harbour, write that in your request and it will be in the suggestion.

Team day

Whether you call it a team day, team building or just a day together matters little to us – it is the same request. If the team sits in Nyköping it is about 20 kilometres here; if you are coming from further away, write that and we will take it into account when we suggest an arrangement.

Finishing in the floating sauna

The floating sauna is moored at Oxelösund Guest Harbour. It lies moored at the quay – a place to come back to once you are ashore again.

The whole raft is yours. It takes up to seven people and sessions are 2.5 hours. Opening hours are 05:00–22:30, so the ending can be placed early just as well as late.

There is a swim ladder down into the water, and the harbour has a service building with showers and changing rooms. Bring your own towels. Pre-heating is an optional extra; write in your request if you want it included.

If you are more people than the raft holds, write the number in your request and we will tell you what can be arranged.

About the boat

You travel in a seven-metre aluminium RIB. The boat is 700 centimetres long and 280 centimetres wide, with 170 centimetres of inside width, and the hull is a deep V with a hull angle of 26 degrees.

The tubes are made of 1.2 millimetre Heavy Duty PVC and divided into six separate air chambers, with an overpressure valve. Above the helm sits a fibreglass T-top that gives shade and shelter from the weather, the console has a tall wind-deflecting screen, and a grab rail runs all the way round – that is what you hold on to.

The seating comes in several kinds: bucket flip-up seats at the helm, an integrated sofa, an aft sofa with individual headrests and a U-shaped sofa up front with a removable sun bed. At the aft sofa there is a removable table. Right at the back sit bathing platforms with a swim ladder down into the water.

Add to that a targa arch with navigation lights, hydraulic steering, an automatic bilge pump and a built-in 150-litre tank under the deck. There is stowage up front, in the console and under the aft sofa. The engine is a 200-horsepower V6 outboard.
